Surface Geophysical

So-Deep’s extensive inventory of equipment includes a variety of radiofrequency, magnetic, elastic wave, ground penetrating radar, and terrain conductivity surface geophysical devices.

So-Deep continues to be a driving force behind the evaluation and selection of what commercially available surface geophysical equipment is necessary to competently and efficiently detect and trace underground utilities of all types, materials, depths, and congestion. Our past work with manufacturers and government agencies, combined with our current and ongoing research into utility designating techniques and equipment, gives us an up-to-date and comprehensive understanding and access to that equipment in order to perform SUE services to the standard of care required. It is very clear that a wide inventory of devices spanning different radio frequencies, antenna types, coupling methods, and the availability of using differing geophysical processes, are necessary to meet the standard of care. Along with the training and qualifications of the personnel using this equipment, there is no one single factor more important in the ability to perform this work.
