In August of 2009, So-Deep was tasked with depicting all underground utilities within the limits of four newly proposed office buildings and a new parking garage at the Novartis Pharmaceutical site. So-Deep was selected due to our experience in mapping utilities at various pharmaceutical sites. The size of the project was approximately 18 acres. The campus contained numerous underground utilities including potable water, fire protection, chilled water, deionized water, pond water, natural gas, steam, electric, telephone, fiber optic, CCTV, storm sewer and sanitary sewer.
After the project was completed, the site engineers were so impressed with the level of accuracy and completeness of our work that So-Deep was tasked with mapping all of the underground utilities for the remainder of the 188 acre site. Over the course of six months, So-Deep completed the utility mapping for the entire site. So-Deep continues to work at the site today for various projects which impact underground utilities. So-Deep also provides consulting seminars regarding the addition, removal or abandonment of underground site utilities.
